Hair Care Routine

Hello again!

I was pondering what to post about today and I figured I might as well do my current hair care routine, since I really love the one I'm using at the moment. I have long, super thick hair that's pretty coarse and/or frizzy. It's naturally wavy, but it's too thick for me to wear it naturally like that since it just ends up as a poofy mess.  If you're curious, just keep reading!

Products I Use:

Tresemme Platinum Strength Deep Conditioner
Garnier Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum
Batiste Dry Shampoo
L'Oreal Paris Elnett Hairspray
Got2b Guardian Angel Heat Protectant (not pictured)

First off, I don't have one set shampoo and conditioner I always use. I'm looking to try several new ones until I find one I love enough to always use, so if you have any recs for my hair type, comment below!

I've been using the Tresemme deep conditioner for a couple weeks now and I really like it. I wash my hair first and then put this in and clip it up while I shower so it has a few minutes to sink in to my hair. It's really repaired a lot of the damage I had from heat styling, although my ends are pretty much beyond repair at this point. It's really helped put some moisture back into my hair and improved the overall health of my hair.

I use the Garnier Serum after towel drying and combing my hair, mostly concentrating on the lower half of my hair. It's quite oily, so if you have thinner hair this might not be for you, but I love it for my hair. It does help frizz, but I really like how much shine it adds to my hair. It doesn't make it greasy either, which is always a plus.

I'd heard really good things about the Batiste dry shampoos, but I thought they were only sold in the States, until I found some at Winners! I like it, but I'm not sure if I'm completely sold yet. However, it is a HUGE improvement on the Tresemme one I was using before. I'm pretty picky about my dry shampoos.

The Got2b heat protector is really good for adding some shine to your hair when you straighten it. As far as I can tell, it does it's job in terms of protecting my hair from heat styling, but I really dislike the smell. It's a weird, kind of masculine smell that I really don't wanna smell like, haha! :) But I didn't find it to make my hair crunchy or greasy, and it definitely didn't weigh it down, so I'm pretty happy with this product overall.

The best performing product out of the bunch is probably the Elnett hairspray. You've undoubtedly heard its praises sung many times before, and it truly is worth the hype. It calms frizz, adds shines, keeps a flexible hold on my hair and stays soft and not at all crunchy.

Anyway, if you stuck around till the end, thanks for reading! Please comment below telling me what you thought. What are your hair care staples? I'd love to hear from you!

Have an awesome day!
